Engineering Workshop Laboratory
A well-equipped practical facility for developing hands-on skills in fundamental engineering workshop practices, manufacturing processes, fabrication, and safe use of tools and equipment.
Lab Overview
The Engineering Workshop provides a well-equipped practical learning environment for students to develop fundamental skills in manufacturing processes, workshop practices, fabrication, fitting, carpentry, plumbing, sheet metal work, house wiring, blacksmithy, and welding. The workshop is supported by essential tools, equipment, and workstations that enable students to gain hands-on exposure to basic engineering operations and safe working practices.
The workshop provides students with practical experience in measuring, marking, cutting, joining, forming, fitting, fabrication, and assembly operations. Dedicated work areas for different workshop practices help students understand the working principles of tools and equipment while developing accuracy, workmanship, and process awareness.
Through hands-on training and supervised practical activities, the Engineering Workshop helps students bridge theoretical knowledge with practical engineering applications and develop essential technical skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and safe workshop practices required for their academic projects and future engineering careers.
