Our Activities

BLOOD BANK ACTIVITY:

We have started the Blood Bank on 01/12/2004 and are collecting the blood and making the same available to the poor and needy. 30% of our total collection is given to the Govt blood banks / hospitals and to the Tribal areas where there is scarcity of blood. Our Blood Bank has got NABH accreditation valid from 28th December 2023 till 27th December 2026.

THALASSEMIA CENTRE:

We have opened a Thalassemia center on 20/09/2022. Daily on an average we are transfusing 10-15 patients incurring almost Rs 3000/- including medicines and Lab tests per patient at FREE of cost. Totally 250 children affected with the disease are impacted.

FIRST AID TRAININGS:

We are conducting First aid training to industrial /individuals/company employees regularly and imparting the first aid techniques to them by senior trainers. Per month there will be 4-5 trainings and in each class the trainees will be around 25.

EVENING CLINIC:

We are running an Evening Clinic at One Town, Old Post Office. The consultations for the patients are absolutely at FREE of cost by our experienced doctors and free medicine is also provided. The patients are from a low-income group and from BPL families. Around 70-80 patients are treated on an average.

JRC/YRC:

We have been contacting all the schools/Colleges and making the students the members of Junior Red Cross and Youth Red Cross and thereby they are involved in all the social activities in their early ages. It is envisaged to train the students in various activities by organizing awareness programmes on Health, Sanitation, Plantation of saplings, Personal hygiene, Disaster management, First Aid activities and Regulation of traffic etc.

OLD AGE HOME (Vaanaprastha):

We have been maintaining the Old age home (Paid Home) wherein the in-mates are around 40. All the inmates are senior citizens. We have arranged Doctor Visits to the ashram regularly and the necessary medicines are also arranged.

NIGHT SHELTERS:

We have two night shelters at Peda Waltair and Maharanipet areas. There are more than 30 in mates in each shelter who will be homeless/ destitute/ Differently abled and senior citizens. Regularly we are conducting health camps and providing medicines. This apart, we have rescued many helpless people and helped them reach their homes. We can proudly say that we are assisting the police most of the time in rescue operations.

RELIEF OPERATIONS:

Assisting the Government machinery in reaching out to the affected during natural calamities apart from helping out the poor and affected families directly in distributing the relief material like utensils, tarpaulins, clothes, food etc. We have been identifying the Tribal Areas in remote areas and arranging Eye screening Camps, Health Camps and distribution of relief material to them.

BLOOD GROUPING TESTS:

We are conducting blood grouping tests in the schools and colleges and informing the students about their blood group on a regular basis.

EYE SCREENING TESTS:

In association with the L V Prasad EYE Institute and other Eye Hospitals, we are conducting the Eye screening Tests in all the educational institutes/Tribal areas etc. and providing the spectacles to the Poor.

GENERIC MEDICAL SHOP:

We are running a Generic medical shop and providing the medicines at affordable rates to the patients.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO THE POOR:

We are providing food through our shelter care takers to the poor at different parts of the city with the help of some donors daily. 20-25 people are distributed on an average.

PROVIDING WHEEL CHAIRS:

We are associating with the District Differently abled centre where they are arranging meeting/conferences/job melas etc. As people are found to be very old/ Physically challenged/weak, we have been arranging the wheelchairs with our volunteers.
