Manufacturing Process Laboratory
Hands-on study of casting, welding, forming, moulding, bending, pressing, and other conventional manufacturing processes using various industrial equipment and tools.
Lab Overview
The Manufacturing Process Laboratory is a well-equipped facility that provides students with hands-on experience in various conventional manufacturing processes and workshop practices. The laboratory includes a comprehensive range of equipment such as Spot Welding, Arc Welding, TIG Welding, Gas Welding, Fly Press, Hydraulic Press, Hydraulic Pipe Bending, Wood Turning Lathe, Sand Rammer, Sand Permeability Tester, Plastic Injection Moulding, and Plastic Blow Moulding equipment.
The laboratory provides practical exposure to casting, pattern making, welding, sheet metal forming, pressing, pipe bending, plastic moulding, and other manufacturing operations. It enables students to understand process principles, material handling, equipment operation, tooling, and basic manufacturing techniques through practical experimentation and workshop activities.
The laboratory helps students develop essential practical, technical, and problem-solving skills required for manufacturing applications and provides a strong foundation in conventional production processes and industrial workshop practices.
