We at AIET, provides better academic ambience and learning environment for its students and faculty.  In order to enrich the knowledge of the students, faculty various activities have been organized through activity council and some of them are:

All the Value Added Courses, FDP,SDP, Quality Improvement Programme; industrial visits will be organized every year in the college.

Development Programmes:

AIET’s most valuable possession is in its faculty. They are trained in various skills in the college like subject,  Teaching methodology, skills to shape the students to become industry ready. The students will undergo various development programmes in the campus under
the esteemed guidance of faculty.

To broaden the scope of understanding the technologies processes and Environment of the industries, the students are taken to various industries on tours as a part of the curriculum.

The college provides the much needed scope in the personality development process of the students.  Students are provided in an activity centre for their recreation and light reading facilities.   Various activities like guest lectures, Seminars, Conferences, Workshops are being organized every year to benefit out the students along with the curriculum.

It is general practice to conduct various seminars and extension lectures on various topics related to engineering & technology, personality development, management practices etc as a part of curriculum and a council has been constituted in the college campus.  The seminar council ensures that frequent seminars and talks are organized for students and staff on various technical and academic issues by eminent personalities both from academics and industry. For students, an interaction with luminaries from the corporate/professional world is of paramount importance, scientists, professors and practitioners from prestigious institutions are invited to deliver lectures in the college.

A national level symposium will be organized every year to inculcate a probing sense and broaden the nascent research & innovative skills of student in the fields of Engineering & Technology, management etc.,

A national level symposium Cognosparks-2010, a technical meet on recent trends in engineering & technology is organized on 16th April,2010 at white House, Hyderabad.  The benign scholars from academics prof.R.V.Rajkumar, Vice-chancellor, RGUKT,IIIT, Hyderabad, was the chief guest,Sri.N.C.Nagarjuna Reddy, Direcotr, Treasuries & Accounts,Govt.of A.P was the guest of honour.Prof.R.V.Rajkumar gave a technical talk on Green Technologies, Padmashri.Dr.R.M.Vasagam Former Vice-Chancellor, Anna University, Chennai,delivered the talk on 21st century-India,Engineering & technology, Prof. Dr.Rajeev Wankar, Dept.of computer nformation sciences,HCU, Hyderabad presented a technical talk on  Grid & Cloud computing.  Dr.S.Ravi chandran CEO, Trimentus Technologies LTd.,Hyd was the chief guest for the valedictory function,Prof.Dr.Suryakalavathi, Prof & Head Dept of EEE,JNTUH was the Guest of honour. Prof.Sridevei, JNTUH, Hyderabad. Prof.Dr.E.G.Rajan,Principal,AIET,Dr.N.Chalamaiah,Principal, ASRA,  Sri.M.Srinivasa Rao, Chairman,Avanthi Group of Institutions, M.L.A., Bheemunipatnam constituency Vizag, have been participated.

At Avanthi, Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged, to promote a balanced lifestyle and  to build team spirit, managerial skills , enable students to find outlets to beat stress in the highly competitive environment that they have to face in the world today. These activities are taken care by the activity centre which encourages, guides the students to participate in sports, paper presentations, project contests, NSS, NCC various other programmes.

Sports:

Sports & games are exciting and essential components for overall development and their physical activities are expected to promote feelings of unity, oneness, integration, team spirit and sportsmanship. The students are encouraged to participate in inter collegiate and inter-university tournaments.
The college has a well developed volley ball courts & table tennis. In addition to the facilities already provided during the previous years for encouraging sports among the students, it is planned to have a separate building for housing the facilities for indoor games including gymnasium. It is also planned to have a cricket pitch with net practice, basket ball court , cement/wooden tennis court etc.

The NSS unit was established in the year 2009, keeping in view that the engineering education basically is involved with the social responsibility towards the benefit of the mankind. The NSS unit has organized various activities like door to door campaign for spreading out the importance of education, plantations, blood donations, AIDS awareness program. The NSS team of Avanthi has adopted the nearby Gunthapally village, Hayath Nagar Mandal, R.R.Dist. and conducted clean and green program successfully including plantations, educating rural children, training rural youth for self-employment and many more. In future the aim of the unit is to make a modern technical village.

The general activities like Annual day, Fresher’s day, Farewell day, Traditional day,Teachers day, Engineer’s day, Technology day will be cenlebrated. Apart from these activities all the arrangements have been made for the students’ Health care, EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Cell)

In view of developing a culture of welcoming the new students by the senior students to create a healthy environment, the fresher’s party Parichay-2k9 was being organized. Parichay-2k9, Fresher’s party was organized on 21st October, 2009 at white House, Hyderabad. Padmabhushan.Dr.Chiranjeevi.President,PRP,& M.L.A,Tirupathi Constituency was the chief guest,Sri.M.Gopala Krishna,IAS(Retd),Former Chairman,Rural Electrification Corporation & AP State Financial Corporation was the Guest of honour, Sri.Kommineni Srinivasa Rao,Chief Editro, NTV Hyderabad was the special Guest, Sri. Kingshuk Nag,Chief editor,Times of India, Hyderabad has presided over the function. Prof.Dr.K.,Venkateswarlu,Principal,AIET,Dr.N.Chalamaiah,Principal, ASRA,  Sri.M.Srinivasa Rao, Chairman,Avanthi Group of Institutions, M.L.A., Bheemunipatnam constituency Vizag, have been participated.

 Besides imparting theoretical knowledge, the curriculum stresses on developing analytical skills, communication, problem solving and team work abilities.  Hence, case studies, industry projects, presentations, research wok and role-play form an integral part of a student’s tenure at AIET.

Every academic year, the college conducts a national symposium  for technical paper presentation besides eminent personalities from industry, academics are invited to motivate the students through their technical presentations.  Besides that we at AIET, run a wall magazine “ABHYUDAYA” meant for student technical topic presentations.

Our college encourages the students to exhibit their latent talents and also encourages them to participate in different competitions and the winners will be suitably rewarded by the management.  The management is implementing a scheme merit prizes & attendance prizes with aim of motivating the students achieve greater academic Excellency.

It is happy to note that our students have stood as academic toppers in JNTUH examinations for the academic year 2008-09.

Avanthi IEEE Student Branch was established in the year 2008 with a mission to enable the student engineers to become true professional and for their overall growth on par with international standards. The IEEE Branch is very active in organizing National Level Symposiums / Guest Lectures / Workshops / Seminars on latest development by experts in different fields of technology. This branch has so far organized 2 National Level Symposium and various other activities.

Every Department has its own technical association which conducts, seminars, guest lectures, project and cultural activities, extra, co-curricular activities. This is managed by the students and is aimed to provide a platform for them to enrich their managerial and organizational skills.

Our teaching staff is well qualified and experienced in the teaching field.

 The syllabus of each subject is divided into 8 units; the target dates are fixed to complete the respective units.  At the end of the unit, a unit test is conducted to assess the abilities of the students.   A report is also sent to the parents or guardians of the students for their information.

Periodically parents meeting are being organized to give the first hand information on the progress of the students.  In addition t this, parent are also called whenever necessary.

Special classes are also conducted to those who feel hard for any subject and also care is being taken individually to motivate and uplift the students not only academically but also logically.Apart from this all, our college adopts different procedures to develop the students in all round growth.  Students coming with different educational, social environment backgrounds will be having their own thinking and good ideas.  In order to make them successful way and turning out the ideas into action by guiding them with our staff.

This disciplinary research activity in the campus is supported by the equipment addressing the issues related to the research & design problems.

AIET has a wide range of activities apart from the education that underlines its vision of nation building.   AIET students will always be top with their skills owing to the well-organized and planned curriculum besides the academics and host of extracurricular activities that lead to a successful professional as well as the personality development and impart the social responsibility.

Apart from the regular activities of posting the information through circulars through notice boards, letters, phones we had a SMS message service SCHOOL MATE serves the purpose of intimating the activities and news to the students and is used to send the information to the parents regarding attendance, academic performance, achievements of their wards.

The college adopts mentoring procedure to develop a better relationship in the academic front between students and the teaching staff through mentoring technique.

On the last day of the week, tutorials are conducted to the students by solving some of the probable questions of the examination also clarifying doubts if any.

Attendance Monitoring:

In AIET, an attendance monitoring system is maintained and they will see the regularity and punctuality of the considolitated attendance report will be displayed onto the notice board every month and same will be informed to their parents.
